Lucknow born woman joins Race for London Mayor

London-Lucknow born businesswoman Ruby McGregor-Smith and British Sikh politician Kulveer Ranger are among 10 shortlisted by Britains ruling Conservative Party as potential candidates to run for London




Mayor in 2020 against Labor’s Pakistan-origin Sadiq Khan.Both ndian origin individuals will go head to head with the others at hustings next month before a vote on the final candidate by October.Mr Boris Johnson, who recently resigned as United Kingdom foreign secretary, was the last Conservative Mayor of London, following election victories in 2008 and 2012.
