India currently claims to have one of the most advanced digital payment systems in the world. JAM (Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and Mobile) has strengthened a diverse and inclusive digital ecosystem in the country. Currently in India, many digital payment platforms like Unified Payment Interface (UPI), RuPay Card, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) and mobile wallets etc. are providing secure facility of seamless digital transactions. The rise of digital payments has been a revolutionary step for millions of citizens of the country, driven by technological advancements and government efforts to promote cashless transactions and financial inclusion. Government initiatives such as 2016 demonetization aimed at encouraging cashless transactions and reducing black money gave a significant boost to digital payments. The introduction of National Payments Corporation of India and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in India has significantly changed the digital payments landscape.
