Agra – Jalesar is also known as “Brass Town” of the country. It is situated in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh. This place is the main center of Ghunghrus and bell production. Made from ‘Ashtadhatu’, a combination of eight metals made huge bell weighing 2,400 kg, has been sent from here to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The bell, worth ₹25 lakh, set out on a journey to Ayodhya on Tuesday, being transported with great care via train after passing through various subdivisions of Etah district.
A team of 30 skilled workers collaborated to bring this extraordinary bell to life. Made of gold, silver, copper, zinc, lead, tin, iron and mercury, this bell is a testament to the intricate craftsmanship and dedication of the artisans here. It is one of the largest bells in the country, measuring six feet in height and five feet in width.
