Ayodhya is on the verge of emerging as a highly developed and major tourist destination on the global tourism map. According to the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, Ayodhya has seen a rapid increase in the number of tourists in the last few years. It increased from a modest 3.25 lakh in 2021 to a staggering 2.39 crore in 2022. Now it has further increased to 31.5 crore. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi said that the growing fame of Ayodhya is not limited to its spiritual and emotional importance only, it is emerging as a major tourist destination. The city has recently been granted the status of an international airport to facilitate global connectivity. Indian business organizations are also trying to connect the identity of Ayodhya with consumers across the country.
