New Delhi – US Ambassador Eric Garcetti said that in 2023, the US will issue visas to a record number of Indians. He was speaking at an event organized by IndiaDisspora. Garcetti reminisced about his conversation with President Joe Biden and said that he had described India as “the most important country in the world”. Highlighting the importance of India in America’s global diplomacy, he said that Delhi is the second largest US mission in the world. Ambassador Garcetti pointed out that the United States has been optimistic about India since the beginning of independent India.
