Some grocery shops are in Agra since the Mughal period

Taj City Agra is also called the city of old grocery shops. 100 year old grocery shops can be seen in the ancient narrow streets here. One of these old shops was started by Lala Ram Kishan, a resident of Moti Katra. His descendants still run this grocery shop. This shop is located at Belanganj intersection in front of Deviram Halwai. It sells grocer’s goods.
Especially Rawat Pada historical spice and grocery market of Agra is very famous. Rawat Pada is one of the oldest areas of Agra. Most of the shops here are very old. Some have been present there since the Mughal period. Over the years this place has created a new identity as a wholesale market for grains, pulses, spices etc.
