Agra – Tourists from all over the world come to Agra and leave only after seeing the Taj Mahal. But now the Kanch Mahal of Sikandra has also started pleasing the tourists. Kanch Mahal was known as the women’s resort, as well as the royal hunting lodge (Shikargarh) for Emperor Jahangir, who built this magnificent structure. With water channels and tanks, you will aso find the remains of the historical ‘Charbagh’ and this is the reason why the structure was originally patronized as a resort by women. Historians believe that this structure was built sometime around 1605-19. It was earlier under the Church Missionary Society. This exquisite monument is in the shape of a square and was originally surrounded by regular running water and a beautiful garden.
