New Delhi-The Govt announced regulations which will enable the safe, commercial usage of drones in India.Drones are a technology platform which has wide-ranging applications from photography to agriculture, from infrastructure asset maintenance to insurance. Drones range in size from very small and those that can carry multiple kilograms of payload.

Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu said that the regulations will be effective from 1st of December this year. Addressing the media in New Delhi, Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu said, the regulations are intended to enable visual line-of-sight daytime-only and a maximum of 400 feet altitude operations.
