United States bans US citizens and residents from dealing with the group, and any assets found to be belonging to the Hizbul Mujahideen in areas under US jurisdiction will be frozen.Hizbul Mujahideen has been declared as terrorist group by US Govt.The US move will help India put the pressure on Pakistan, whose leaders have sought to portray Hizbul terrorists as “freedom fighters”.Formed in 1989, Hizbul Mujahideen is one of the largest and oldest terrorist groups operating in Kashmir.
