Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for more Japanese investment in India. Addressing a forum of Japanese and Indian business leaders in Tokyo, Modi said his government was implementing tax reforms and regulations to attract foreign companies.

He also said bilateral partnership in the automotive sector has been extremely successful, and the two countries can “repeat the magic” in areas such as semiconductors, robotics and shipbuilding.

Modi described Japan as a tech superpower and India as a talent superpower. He said Japan’s technology and India’s talent together can lead the technological revolution of this century.

He also expressed his intention to promote human resource exchange and cooperation in advanced industries to achieve further economic growth.
