Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Varanasi that the global economy is currently facing an environment of many uncertainties and instability. In this environment of uncertainty, every country in the world is focusing on its own interests. Mr Modi defined indigenous goods as those made with the sweat and hard work of the Indian people and called upon Indians to follow the path of “Vocal for Local”. Modi has said that India is moving ahead on the path of becoming the third largest economy in the world. The Prime Minister urged that every new item that comes into our homes should be indigenous and this is the responsibility of every Indian.
