About 6 people were killed and many injured in a stampede at the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar on Sunday.This was confirmed by Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police Pramod Singh Doval. Mr Doval also said that about 35 people have been brought to the hospital for treatment.
The police took immediate action as soon as the accident was reported.
The Mansa Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Mansa Devi, located in the holy city of Haridwar in the state of Uttarakhand.
