American billionaire Elon Musk’s car company has opened its first showroom in India in Mumbai after a long wait of years. The store is inside Maker Maxity Mall located in Mumbai’s posh Bandra Kurla Complex. Tesla is expected to start the first delivery of its Model Y SUV cars in India from August 1. The price of Tesla Model Y is said to be around ₹ 59.87 lakh.
This launch was announced as “coming soon” by Elon Musk, owner of social platform X. A graphic released on X shows that Tesla will have a presence in India from July 2025. According to a report, six units of Model Y SUV have arrived in Mumbai from Tesla’s Shanghai plant.
