US decision to withdraw duty benefits on Indian products will not have significant impact

New Delhi-Decision of United States to withdraw Indias name from GSP program list will not have any significant impact on Indias 5.6 billion dollar exports to the U.S Commerce Secretary Anup Wadhawan. India has very deep routed ties with the USA.India exports goods worth $5.6 billion to US under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP ),and the duty benefit is only 190 milion dollar per year.1,900 Indian products get duty free access to the US market under the GSP introduced in 1976.
