India is for safe return of displaced Rohingyas to Myanmar

Dhaka: India wants safe return of Rohingyas, who fled to Bangladesh following persecution in Rakhine of Myanmar said Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. She said India is deeply concerned at the spate of violence in Rakhine State of Myanmar.India urged that the situation be handled with restraint, keeping in mind the welfare of the population. Govt de-affiliates 400 Industrial Training Institutes for failing quality norms

RBI make mandatory of Linkage of Aadhaar number to bank account

New Delhi-Biometric identity number Aadhaar linkage with bank accounts is mandatory said RBI.Reserve Bank of India clarification followed media reports quoting a reply to a Right to Information (RTI) application which suggested the apex bank has not issued any order for mandatory Aadhaar linkage with bank accounts.But RBI, in a statement, clarified that linkage of Aadhaar number to bank account is mandatory under the Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules.

Govt authorised banks to sell more small savings schemes

The government has authorised three private banks ICICI, HDFC and Axis Bank and all public sector banks to accept deposits under various small savings schemes like National Savings Certificate (NSC), recurring deposits and monthly income plan.According to the government’s notification, the private banks are ICICI, HDFC and Axis Bank. So far, public sector banks were allowed to receive subscription under Public Provident Fund, Kisan Vikas Patra-2014, Sukanya Samriddhi Account, Senior Citizen Savings Scheme-2004.

New Delhi-India’s second highest law officer Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar, resigned for “personal reasons”.Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad received his resignation letter.Mr Kumar was appointed solicitor general in June 2014 after the Modi government came to power. Banks will provide funds at 7% to women self help groups : RBI

Banks will provide funds to women self help groups, SHGs, in rural areas at 7 per cent under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana said Reserve Bank of India. RBI issued the revised guidelines on interest subvention scheme under DAY-NRLM, as received from the Ministry of Rural Development for implementation by 21 public sector banks and 19 private banks.All women self help groups will be eligible for interest subvention on credit upto 3 lakh rupees at 7 per cent per annum. India signs MOC to send youngsters to Japan for training

Tokyo-Indian Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with Japan to send youngsters there as technical interns for on-the-job training for a period of three to five years.The MoC on Technical Intern Training Programme was signed by Mr Pradhan and Japanese Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare with Katsunobu Kato at Tokyo.
