State Bank of India hikes lending rate to 8.15%

Govt approves Rs 2900 crore to make cities safer for women

New Delhi-Govt has approved projects worth over Rs 2,900 crore under the Nirbhaya fund for eight major cities to make them safer for women.The decision was taken after a meeting of Empowered Committee, which is headed by Women and Child Development Secretary.These cities are Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow.

Govt released list of high risk financial institutions

Finance Ministry has released a list of around 9500 Non-Banking Financial high-risk financial institutions.In this list FIU is showing the names of these NBFCs which have been found non-compliant to the Prevention of Money Laundering. NBFCs and several rural and urban cooperative banks had come under the scanner of the Income Tax Department and the ED for illegally converting banned currency notes,after the demonetisation of high-value currency notes in November 2016.
