No major effects of global ransomware attack in India



New Delhi-Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said  that there has been no serious impact on India from the global ransomware cyberattack, except for a few isolated incidents.Indian minister said the systems run by the National Informatics Centre were secured and running smoothly.Reserve Bank of India has also asked banks to put in place software updates at ATMs to protect their systems from attack.A strong legislation to punish the perpetrators of such attacks is also demanded by Cyber crime

Booking is Open for Shimla-New Delhi flight under UDAN scheme



New Delhi-Booking has been opened by Air India  for its first flight under the Regional Connectivity Scheme to be operated on the Shimla-New Delhi route by its subsidiary Alliance Air.Over 45 unserved and under-served airports would be connected under the scheme- UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik)- that seeks to make flying more affordable.Last year, Air India had received a rap from the Supreme Court for the lack of air connectivity to Shimla last year.

India’s foreign exchange reserves increase by $889.4 mn to $369.887 bn



Mumbai-Forex reserves of India rose by $889.4 million to $369.887 billion during the week ended April 14, helped by increase in foreign currency assets.  Foreign currency assets (FCAs), a major component of the overall reserves, surged by $881 million to $346.248 billion in the reporting week said RBI.Gold reserves remained unchanged at $19.869 billion.
