Chadha will be 1st woman on Int’l Tribunal 4 Law of Seas



Prominent Indian law person Neeru Chadha won the election to be appointed as a judge at the tribunal. International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea for a nine-year term from 2017 to 2026.She has also served as an agent before the International Court of Justice in the case concerning the Obligations concerning Negotiations relating to cessation of nuclear arms race.She was elected in the first round of voting by getting 120 votes. Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia arrested by Madhy Pradesh police



Senior Congress leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kantilal Bhuria has been arrested by MP police at Mandsaur border in Ratlam district.Congress leaders were trying to go to violence hit Mandsaur district and meet the families of the deceased. Many other Congress leaders were arrested with them.Six people were killed during firing in Mandsaur during farmers agitation.Hardik Patel was also arrested at Neemuch border. He was also trying to go Mandsaur.

Sensex and Nifty gain strength at Bombay Stock Exchange



Mumbai – The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange was up 89.49 points at 31,185.19 and NSE Nifty surged by 24.90 points to 9,641.30. Sun Pharma was the biggest gainer in Sensex.ICICI Bank, HDFC, Maruti Suzuki, Lupin, L&T and HUL were also the gainers in the 30-share BSE Sense. On monday sensex drops 166 points to close at 31,096, amid weakness in the global markets.

Reserve Bank of India to issue new batch of Rs 500 notes



New Delhi-New batch of 500 rupee banknotes with inset letter “A” in both the number panels, bearing the signature of RBI Governor Dr. Urjit R. Patel will be issued by Reserve Bank of India. New 500 rupee banknotes will have the year of printing ‘2017’ on the reverse. The design of these notes is similar in all respects to the 500 rupee banknotes in Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series which were released post demonetization.

New Delhi – Tele Law service has been launched by Govt to provide legal aid for the people living in rural areas through video conferencing. This Legal aid  service  via video conferencinghas been launched to make legal aid easily accessible to the marginalized communities and citizens living in rural areas. Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange loses 156 points in early trade



Mumbai : The Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange lost 156 points, or 0. 49 per cent, to 31,106 in early trade today.Rupee depreciated 15 paise to 64 rupees and 39 paise against the US dollar in early session. The gauge had gained 49 points in the previous session on Friday. National Stock Exchange’s Nifty retreated by 45 points, or 0.46 per cent,to 9,623.
