Tourism Ministry launches 'Earn-While-You-Learn' scheme PDF Print E-mail

The Ministry of Tourism has launched a training programme under the scheme titled 'Earn While You Learn' with the primary goal to sensitizing the youth to tourism. The scheme has been envisaged under the direction of the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Smt. Ambika Soni.

The Ministry of Tourism has launched a training programme under the scheme titled 'Earn While You Learn' with the primary goal to sensitizing the youth to tourism. The scheme has been envisaged under the direction of the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Smt. Ambika Soni.

The main objective of the programme is to inculcate appropriate tourism traits and knowledge amongst the trainees, which will enable them to act/work as student volunteers. These programmes would be of 21 days and the students pursuing graduation/post graduation between 18-25 years can apply for it after obtaining a 'No Objection Certificate' from the college/university concerned. These programmes would be conducted by the Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management, which is a premier institution and has its branches in Gwalior, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar and Goa.
