 Minister of Finance of India urged the banks, both nationalised and private, to reach out to uncovered villages through modern technology. Mukerjee, who inaugurated State bank of India's (SBI) customer service point (CSP) at Barole village here in Murshidabad district of West Bengal said only 88,000 villages out of 6.5 lakh were covered by banks.
