Hooda was sworn in as Chief Minister of Haryana for the second term at Haryana Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh . State Governor Jagannath Pahadia administered him the oath of office and secrecy. No other Minister was sworn in along with Mr. Hooda. The Governor has given him one week's time to prove his majority. Talking to media persons Mr Hooda said that his party has support of seven independent MLAs and one MLA of the BSP has extended support to the Congress. |

India and Netherlands signed a Social Security Agreement here . The Agreement was signed by Shri Vayalar Ravi, Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs and. Mr. Piet Hein Donner, Dutch Minister of Social Affairs and Employment. On the occasion, Shri Ravi said that this agreement will strengthen the bilateral relations and it will enhance cooperation on social security between the two countries.
This Social Security Agreement will facilitate the movement of professionals between the two countries. The detached workers sent by Netherlands-based companies to their Indian subsidiaries, or those sent by Indian companies to their branches in the Netherlands will be exempt from social security contribution in the host country for a period of 60 months. |

Congressparty accused BSP in Uttar Pradesh of misusing the official machinery in the Ferozabad parliamentary seat for which bye-elections are to be held on 7th of November. AICC General Secretary in-charge of the state Digvijay Singh told reporters in New Delhi that the administration there is openly supporting the BSP candidate. Earlier, a delegation comprising Singh, UPCC President Rita Bahuguna Joshi and AICC Secretary Parvez Hashmi met the Chief Election Commissioner and gave a memorandum asking for action against the partisan officials and deployment of central paramilitary forces for free and fair elections.
