Govt is negotiating with Swiss bank on Indian money parked with them PDF Print E-mail

ImageF M Mr Pranab Mukherjee has said that the Govt is negotiating with Swiss bank and other banks abroad to get the information about the Indian money parked with them.

ImageAt a colourful ceremony this morning, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was the Guest of Honour at the Bastille Day Parade in Paris, France. An Indian contingent participated in the parade, and was the first contingent to march past the dignitaries on the saluting stand at the Place de la Concorde.

In remarks after the parade, the Prime Minister noted the particular honour that this represented, and spoke of the global significance of Bastille Day, and the ideals of the French Revolution of liberty, equality and fraternity.

"Visit India 2009" Scheme announced by the Ministry of Tourism PDF Print E-mail

ImageMinister of State in the ministry of Tourism Shri Sultan Ahmed has said as per the latest estimates, the share of India in the international tourist arrivals during the years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 was 0.49 percent, 0.52 percent, 0.56 percent and 0.58 percent respectively.
"Visit India 2009" Scheme has been announced by the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with all stakeholders including airlines, hotels, tour operators, state Governments for incentivising travel to India during the current year.
