India witnesses over 9% growth in Foreign Tourist Arrivals in January PDF Print E-mail
ImageIndia has witnessed over 9 per cent growth in Foreign Tourist Arrivals, FTAs, during the month of January this year as compared to the same period last year. A total of 6.81 lakh tourists arrived in the country in the last month against 6.24 lakh tourists during the same period last year.

According to an official release, Foreign Exchange Earnings during the month of January this year, were over 8600 crore rupees as compared to over 5700 crore rupees in January last year.

UP CM attacks Congress for wrong economic policies PDF Print E-mail

ImageMayawati has attacked the Congress for its wrong economic policies, saying they had led to problems of poverty and unemployment and forced people to move out to other states in search of livelihood.

Addressing election meetings , Mayawati said people in search of jobs in UP are forced to shift to Congress-ruled states, where they have to face discrimination from the respective state government.

India Signs MoU with USA on Labour and Employment PDF Print E-mail

Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange climbs 173 pts PDF Print E-mail
ImageSensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 173 points, or 1 percent, to 17,605 on sustained buying by investors.

The Sensex had lost 49 points at the day's low, and added 199 points at the day's high. The Sensex had gained over 560 points in the previous three trading sessions.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange climbed 56 points..
