Rajya Sabha approves bill enabling NRIs to vote PDF Print E-mail

Metro commuters can ride from CP to Gurgaon from this weekend PDF Print E-mail
ImageMetro will reach Gurgaon from the city's shopping hub of Connaught Place in less than an hour as the Central Secretariat-Qutub Minar corridor is likely to be opened from this weekend. The inauguration of the 12.53 km line will take place after the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety R K Kardam inspects the entire corridor on Monday and Tuesday and give his mandatory safety clearance.

Crew members and two pilots of Jet flight suspended PDF Print E-mail
ImageEight crew members and two pilots  of a Jet Airways flight were suspended on Saturday after 14 passengers sustained injuries when emergency evacuation was carried out following a suspected fire in the aircraft in Mumbai. After a preliminary probe, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) indicated "serious procedural lapses" in the emergency procedures carried out on Friday night by the cockpit and cabin crew, took them off duty and later suspended them.
