Chinese Govt ordered the closure of the US consulate in Chengdu, days after US ordered China to close its consulate in Houston, Texas .
The move comes as a countermeasure against US decision to mandate Chinese consulate in Houston be shut over the Asian nations alleged attempts at stealing American trade secrets, with President Trump later announcing more diplomatic sites could soon meet the same faith.Following the Trump Govt demands for Beijing to cease operations in Houston, China accused the US of damaging their bilateral ties, calling the actions against Beijing “outrageous and unjustified.”
