Overseas Indians will get a chance to exercise their franchise from the next general elections. Announcing this at the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas Sammelan in New Delhi morning, the Prime Minister said he recognises the legitimate desire of Indians living abroad to exercise their franchise and to have a say in who governs India. He urged them to return home to join politics and public life.
UCO Bank has decided to launch mobile banking service first of its kind in the country to bring more people under banking coverage. The chairman and Managing Director of the Bank, Mr S K Goel said this in Kolkata 
Amar Singh today resigned as its General Secretary and other posts following deepening differences with party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mr Singh, who is in Dubai, faxed his resignation also from Party parliamentary board to Mr Yadav, saying his priority now is his health, wife and children.
