Abhay Kant was Indias’s first TV Cricket Commentator

Agra – Born in Agra on March 2, 1934, Abhay Kant Chaturvedi’s charismatic personality and cheerful nature made him the most revered commentator

of his time. Abhay Kant Chaturvedi was one of the most loved voices of Indian sports for over three decades. The era of television started in his time.After being selected on pure merit, he became India’s first TV cricket commentator in Hindi and in a league of well-known names like Melvin DeMalo, Devraj Puri (father of Narottam Puri), Yogarao CD Gopinath, Suresh Saraiya and of course Jasdev Singh. Joined. His inspiration in the commentary world was Sudhir Raikar. His father Rama Kant was Head of Mathematics Department at Agra College. He was also a good player of tennis. On January 10, 2006, the genius left for heavenly abode, leaving behind memories.
